Painting nature with Emma Jennings

Over three hours, explore the art of watercolour and observational drawing with Emma Jennings - an award-winning artist with over 25 years experience.  Receive one on one guidance to create your own work of art to take home as you relax in the light filled Emma Jennings Gallery. 

We will learn about brush techniques, paint fluidity, colour, composition, and storytelling. Above all, I will encourage you to be experimental, to try new things, and to discover the beauty in connecting your observations with meaningful ideas and having fun. No experience isnecessary, just an open mind and creative curiosity. 

At the end of the workshop you will either have a collection of wonderful experiments and test paintings to take home and continue working with, or a final work of art in progress, or a final piece ready to frame. You can work at your own pace, so there is no pressure to finish anything within three hours - my approach is to take time to work with the materials and the artwork will emerge at the pace you’re comfortable with.
