FERNY CREEK PRIMARY SCHOOL WHOLE SCHOOL ART PROJECT Term 1 2017

During Term 1 this year, I had the most amazing time running a whole school art project at Ferny Creek Primary. With the help of our fabulous new art teacher Kristy Foskett, each student designed and painted their own board inspired by plants they found in the school grounds, drawn and painted as a pattern. I designed a colour palette to shift tones starting with red at one end, finishing with black all the way down the other end of the room - red and black being the school colours. It was so much fun, and it was lovely to have such positive feedback from everyone. Thank you for having me Ferny Creek Primary School, and thank you Kristy for your amazing support and enthusiasm for the whole term (and after hours and school holidays)!

Pattern, layer, tone, ecology, geometry, cultural connection,  adaptation and survival.
